On Monday, White House Coronavirus Task Force Leader Dr. Deborah Birx praised Wisconsin for its response to COVID-19, though she was concerned about the rise of infections in rural areas of the state. “Right now, we do see improvement in many of the counties in Wisconsin, but we also see some smaller, rural counties where we’re seeing an uptick in cases,” Birx said at a press conference. Birx is traveling to all 50 states to get a feel for the pandemic on the ground level. “My big take home from this particular state has really been seeing the level of partnership between the different private sector and public sector entities,” she said. “I think that’s part of the secret sauce in Wisconsin is your ability to work together as a team.”
