The Supreme Court Considers Future of Affordable Care Act

Oral arguments begin Tuesday in the third challenge to the ACA in front of the Supreme Court. The two previous lawsuits failed in the high courts by votes of 5-to-4 and 6-to-3. The composition of the Supreme Court has changed since those previous lawsuits, leaving the fate of the ACA up in the air. The Center for American Progress estimates 224,000 Wisconsinites would lose their health insurance if the ACA is overturned. It is unlikely that a decision in the case will be made until April.
