As Apiari (contractor for the Antimicrobial Stewardship Project) began working with Western Wisconsin Health, they found out that the hospital wasn’t aware that their EMR had a built in antimicrobial report. The report shows how many antibiotics are being prescribed. The pharmacy had been using the pen/paper method of tracking prior to learning about the EMR report.
