Andrea Palm, who led DHS at the start of the pandemic in Wisconsin, is getting national accolades for the state’s now top-ranked rollout of vaccinations. Palm will serve as the deputy secretary in the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services after Senate confirmation. Republicans in the state legislature have been critical of Palm and the state’s slow start in vaccinations.
