As COVID-19 surges across the state, prominent business, health care, and advocacy groups have formed a new coalition to educate Wisconsinites about the public health crisis. The coalition will be producing public service announcements and digital campaigns encouraging residents to engage in preventative measures such as social distancing, hand washing, and the use of protective masks. “To ensure a robust economic comeback, our business leaders must also be community leaders as we all work together to slow the spread and safely reopen our economy,” said coalition member Kurt Bauer, President and CEO of Wisconsin Manufacturers and Commerce, in a statement released by the coalition. Other groups in the coalition include the Wisconsin Hospital Association, Wisconsin Counties Association, Wisconsin Grocers Association, Wisconsin Restaurant Association, Wisconsin Technology Council and Rural Wisconsin Health Cooperative.
