CDC Report on Suicide Rates by Industry show Agriculture in Top 5

The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) published data revealing suicide among the U.S. working age population on the rise. In 2017, nearly 38,000 persons age 16-64 years-old died by suicide, which represent a 40% increase in less than 2 decades. 

 

Agriculture, Forestry, Fishing and Hunting comprise one of the top industry groups with higher than average suicide rates.
