A change in federal law allows people who have been laid off or furloughed from their jobs to have more time to sign up for their employer-sponsored health insurance. Federal law known as CORBA gave people 60 days to sign up for their employer-sponsored health insurance. A new rule extends that time frame to 60 days after the COVID-19 national public health emergency ends.
