County Health Departments Face Delays in Test Processing

Local health departments across the state are facing delays in processing and reporting negative coronavirus test results, which could be skewing the daily data reported by the state. DHS Secretary Andrea Palm says the public should use the 7-day average of positive tests to get the most accurate picture of the pandemic in Wisconsin. As of July 27, 8% of people tested for COVID-19 had a positive result. Positive cases are trending upward in the state.
