COVID-19 Infections in Rural Counties in U.S. Jumped 13% Last Week

Rural America’s cumulative total of COVID-19 cases climbed by 13% June 17-24. That rate is faster than the national growth rate of 9% during the same time period. Beneath these national trends, the spread of COVID-19 continues to be highly variable. Here is Wisconsin, rates of COVID-19 activity varies, too. The DHS data dashboard shows which counties have low, medium, and high COVID-19 activities levels. Rural counties with low activity include Ashland, Bayfield, Douglas, Iron, Lincoln, Price, Sawyer, Washburn and Vilas.
