Vaccines reportedly arrived at a warehouse in Pleasant Prairie this week, but the vaccine rollout will be slow. Initial shipments of vaccines from Pfizer and Moderna are expected to total 65,000, a fraction of the number of healthcare workers and nursing home residents in the state. There are 450,000 healthcare workers, 60,000 nursing home residents, and 100,000 assisted-living residents in the state. DHS says that it may take six to nine months for the vaccine efforts to reach the general public.
