DHS Awards $2 million for Youth Crisis Stabilization Facilities

The Department of Health Services last week awarded more than $2 million to support the creation of three youth crisis stabilization facilities throughout the state. This is a new facility type in Wisconsin. These new centers aim to provide residential care and treatment options for young people facing a mental health emergency. North Central Health Care will receive around $625,000 and Ashland County will receive about $110,000 for these residential care facilities.
