DHS Opens Second Round of CARES Act Funding

The Wisconsin Department of Health Services (DHS) has opened a second round of applications for CARES Act Provider Payment Program on September 4. The program provides relief for specific types of healthcare service providers to offset losses or expenses they incurred due to the COVID-19 pandemic. The second-round application will allow eligible providers to include COVID-19-related losses and expenses for June, July, and August of 2020. DHS will not deduct other CARES Act payments that providers have received (including Payroll Protection Program loans) in calculating these new payments. The deadline for applications is September 30. DHS will be offering webinars on the application process on September 14 and 16.
