Douglas County COVID-19 Cases Double in Two Weeks

Since June 26, Douglas County has seen coronavirus cases double from 22 to 45. Douglas County health officer Kathy Ronchi says the cases began to rise after Father’s Day weekend. Ronchi says the spread is tied to visitors from other hotspot areas and to people going out to bars. Ronchi recommends wearing masks when social distancing is hard to do. Some bars in the city of Superior have closed due to the outbreak.
