FEMA, Army Coming to Wisconsin to Assist in Hospitals.

Marshfield Medical Center in Beaver Dam requested assistance from FEMA as the hospital faces a shortage of workers. Angelia Foster of Marshfield Medical Center said 17 workers—doctors, nurses, respiratory therapists, paramedics and others—are supplementing the hospital’s staff. Cases of COVID-19 are growing rapidly in Dodge County, with nearly 20% of the 9,076 positive cases stemming from the prison system.


Governor Evers announced on Wednesday that the US. Department of Defense is deploying Army medical personnel to assist COVID-19 efforts in Wisconsin. According to a press release from the governor’s office, the incoming medical personnel will support Marshfield Medical Center facilities in Marshfield, Eau Claire, Beaver Dam, and Rice Lake.
