The Fox Valley is seeing a surge in coronavirus patients, causing some hospitals to transfer patients to other facilities after running out of room for COVID-19 patients. Last week, ThedaCare Hospital in Appleton began sending COVID-19 patients to its facility in Neenah and to Critical Access Hospitals in Berlin, Shawano, and Waupaca after the Appleton hospital reached capacity. Bellin Hospital in Green Bay was at 94% capacity, while Aspirus Healthcare in Wausau had to put some patients on a waiting list for entering the facility.
