Learning Curve

A majority of Wisconsin school districts surveyed by the Department of Public Instruction (DPI) planned to start the school year with in-person learning. According to the survey, one reason rural schools have returned to face-to-face learning is the lack of reliable broadband internet. The survey was conducted by DPI in August and some districts already have had to make changes to their plans due to new cases of COVID-19. DPI officials say they expect schools to go online for stretches as cases of the coronavirus occur.
