Legislation to Support Wisconsin Farmers

The Assembly Committee on Agriculture passed a bill that would let self-employed individuals deduct the cost of health insurance from their state income tax. The bill is part of a package of legislation aimed to support Wisconsin farmers. Rep. Amy Loudenbeck, Republican of Clinton, said the bill would cost $92.5 million, with $2.5 million going to farmers and the rest to other self-employed businesses.
