The Wisconsin Department of Health Services (DHS) has launched an online data dashboard of wastewater surveillance programs of the coronavirus in Wisconsin. The coronavirus can be found in the feces of infected people. Sewage testing can reveal early detection of infectious diseases, including COVID-19. The monitoring program covers more than 50% of the state’s residents. DHS will continue adding areas to the dashboard as more complete data become available.
