Northern Wisconsin Towns Reestablish EMS

Several northern Wisconsin towns lost ambulance service in January, after their contracts with their emergency service providers ended. The towns have been restoring services, as Shanagolden, Gordon, Peeksville, and Jacobs recently signed a contract with Glidden Area Emergency Medical Service for ambulance service to begin July 20. Funding for rural EMS remains an obstacle for towns, which are mandated to provide ambulance service but lack the funding to do so.
