Outagamie County is slated to host a school-based mental health consultation pilot program as part of legislation signed into law by Governor Tony Evers on Monday. The Department of Health Services will create and administer the Outagamie County program, which will include email and phone consultations. This pilot program builds on the work by the Child Psychiatry Consultation Program of the Medical College of Wisconsin. Representative Jim Steineke, Republican of Kaukauna, authored the bill and said he hopes to expand the project statewide.
