The Wisconsin Department of Justice collected 60,000 lbs. of unneeded or unused medicines on its April 24 Drug Take Back Day, thanks, in large part, to the efforts of substance abuse prevention advocates. Wisconsin had the second largest Drug Take Back collection. Texas ranked number one, with 66,000 lbs. of discarded medicine collected, but Texas has a population 5 times larger than Wisconsin.
