Trump Extends Social Distancing Guidelines to April 30

President Trump announced Sunday March 29 that his administration would be extending its social distancing guidelines through April 30. The coronravirus guidelines were set to expire Tuesday.

“The peak in death rate is likely to hit in two weeks,” said the president. “Nothing would be worse than declaring victory before the victory is even won.”

Previously Trump had been hinting that he would end guidelines by Easter Sunday, April 12. Trump now says that the White House task force on coronavirus would finalize plans this week. He expects that by June 1, “we will be well on our way to recovery.”
