The Wisconsin Department of Health Services announced on January 26 the people who will be eligible for the COVID-19 vaccines in Phase 1B. Limited supplies of the vaccines mean people may not be able to get the shots until March. Phase 1B populations include educators and childcare workers; individuals enrolled in Medicaid long-term care programs; some public-facing essential workers; non-frontline healthcare essential personnel; and facility staff and residents in congregate living. DHS estimates the date of vaccine availability to be March 1, unless vaccine supplies increase.
