Many people in central Wisconsin are not going to the doctor for checkups and minor issues, a side effect of the COVID-19 pandemic. These delays in seeking care can lead to adverse health outcomes. Children are also behind in vaccinations. Wisconsinites are not the only ones skipping routine care. A CDC study estimates 41% of adults in the U.S. delayed or avoided care because of concerns about COVID-19.
