Megan graduated from UW Oshkosh, where she studied Nursing and Sociology, with an emphasis in Community, Organizing, and Environment, and received a certificate in Social Equity and Diversity. She grew up in rural Northern Wisconsin, making this role personal to her after years of thinking it was normal to drive an hour and a half to her pediatrician, experiencing the challenges of rural healthcare, and working as a Certified Nursing Assistant at the nursing home in her hometown.

Megan joined the Wisconsin Office of Rural Health in September 2022 as the Program Assistant and has since become the Communications Coordinator. In this role, she creates and distributes the office’s biweekly newsletter: Rural Health Radar, develops materials about WORH’s programming, and updates our website and socials.

Megan loves living in Madison with so many events happening and places to explore. She fills her cup by playing volleyball, riding her bike, and setting up her hammock by the lake(s) to relax and read.
